Our Visit to Bassano

We arrived from England
on Saturday evening and went to San Vito. We were tired but
happy.
On Sunday afternoon
we went to Bassano town to watch the carnival. You
can see us in the picture as we wait for Floriana to arrive.
The carnival was great
and lots of people were dressed up in costumes. The costumes
were pretty and some were funny.

On Monday
we went to school in Italy for the first time. It
felt very strange and the noise was loud. We made some friends
with Italian and Spanish young people.
On Tuesday
we went to Venice, which is called Venezia in Italian. We
walked around the shops and we also saw lots of people dressed
up in lovely costumes. We liked the young couple and their baby
who were dressed up too. We took some photos of gondolas and
the water buses.
Some of the
group had their faces painted, even Steve which made us laugh.
Lisa hurt her foot, so we hade to come back to San Vito a little
early.
On Tuesday night we went to an Italian restaurant and had anything
we liked and a glass of wine.
On Wednesday
we came back to school and joined an English class. We
introduced ourselves and so did the Italian children. Their
English was very good, - much better then our Italian!!! Then
we played some English games which was fun.
On Wednesday
night Jan went out to dinner and Steve did the cooking. We made him a hat and he also wore a pinny. So
we took some photos of him.
On Thursday
we walked along by the River Brenta on our way to the Agricultural
College. We
enjoyed the walk very much and the college was very interesting.
On Thursday
night we went to a party and played some games. We
played Mouse, Tiger Rabbit and it was fun. We also played Pass
The Bottle and had to do penalties if we had the bottle when
the music stopped.
