Keld Residential 2004
One of the
places we use as a residential centre is the Keld Centre. This
centre is in the small hamlet of Keld at the top end of Swaledale
in North Yorkshire. This is a remote spot and a long way from most
of modern life. Mobile phones are useless as it is surrounded
by the beautiful dales hills. This year we took a group from Sue
Burton's tutor group and also from Joe's group. We were also joined
by three students and two teachers from our French comenius partner
school in Dieppe. It was a very successful trip and was enjoyed
by both the students and staff.
The trip started on Tuesday 6th July and returned to school on
the 9th July.

On the way up to the centre on Tuesday the group stopped off at
Muker to have a walk through the lovely flower rich hay meadows
along the banks of the river Swale.

During the week we visited a number of places as you can see from
the pictures below.
 |
 |
| We went to the Richmondshire Museum to look at
some Victorian household objects. |
 |
 |
| We also went to a farm where we could handle
the animals such as ducks, kittens, dogs, sheep, pigs, horses,
goats and hens. |
